Ummmm how bout no.
You want cylindered bored because you want the most level, perfect cylinder shaped. A block, used over time develops imperfections, and you over bore it, to get rid of those imperfections.
Also, imperfect cylinders, I THINK, results in low compression and blow-by.

It also allows you to properly size the bore for the piston, which you can't do with a worn in bore and a standard bore piston.

If your going to the trouble of pullling the engine and all that work you might as well have a standard over-bore done. You'll be happier in the long run, and much less concerned about blow-by.

yeh if possible try to get overbored pistons. You never know how messed up the cylinder walls were. Because I didin't do it my car sounds like a diesal all the time now. Then again my cylinder walls were never worn out, i just needed to have the head rebuilt.
But also if you really don't want to go overbore. i suggest buying the pistons after you've taken and inspected the block out. That way you can tell for sure.
