#67298, "I got solar to idle ok.... but weird noise...."

I'm still running richer than a pig.... I am REALLY considering droping down to 440cc injects... there is a weird knocking noise that seems to be coming from the head... when the engine is idles good it gets quiet but when its running like poop it's an obvious nock.. it's not a rod nock im sure of it because i checked the bottom end and no up/down motion but a little side to side.... if i had a bad lifter would this cause some weird noise? or could it be just because im running pig rich?

also the engine is vibrating quite a bit... i just had no tunability with this thing... i have the SAFC at -50 and the SFMU screw all the way out and can barely get it to idle ok.....

I think we are gonna put 440's in and see if it does any better.

any other suggestions?

I'd drop to 440's...
After much playing I managed to get mine to idle find on 450's... and I only had the SAFC at -12...
You need to use fuel pressure to get the injectors to run on the stock ecu, NOT the SAFC...

Drop your idle fuel pressure down to like 15psi and you should be good.
Thats what I needed to drop it to to get mine to idle fine...
