ok.. just got my missing link today.. it says to put the filter in the side and cut it to match the level of the missign link..

how does the damn filter stay in? does anyone have any problems with it falling out?

I've never heard anyone have a problem w/ it falling out. It is a 'press' fit (if there's such a thing w/ a filter emoji ) Remember, it's got a check valve in it, so theoretically all air going through it should be pulling it into place. I'm still not real sure why it needs a filter though...

Yeah, don't worry, it won't fall out. Keep the "extra" material some place safe though (it's small), the filters get pretty dirty fast and you may want to change it.
