As I have posted already I bought a HRC kit for the early fuel system and my 96 has the late system. I was going to get a missing link. Is that all I need or do I need both the black box and the missing link. I searched but couldn't find anything, so any info you can give me is appreciated.

The missing link is a direct replacement for the HRC FCD. You only need one of the two, but some people use both just for redundancy.
You'll find that the ML offers better performance by clamping the MAP voltage at the highest possible value, rather than the arbitrary value the HRC FCD sometimes imposes.
However, some ML's do stick so your boost transition is a little jumpy or hiccups some. My solution to this is to clean the ML... some people add their FCD back on.

I wouldn't recommend having your black box on their as well. Just go with the ML - it's a much better solution to the problem and behaves more consistantly. Just my .02.

i had the fcd, got the ml, had them both on, ran fine... got bored and yanked the fcd off and now i am just using the ml.. works just fine... you might clean it every year or so if you want.

ha. i had a wiring mess like that a while back. then i took the panel off and started to label each wire and wire loom them. my alarm really adds about 5 million more wires down there it seemed. that pic brings back memories. lol.
