#66231, "High Imped Injectors Vs Low Imped Injectors How can you tell?"
Here is the story I have a set of 440's I'm fairly sure they are high impedance. Is there anyway to check them if they are or not with an OHM meter? We are puting the engine back in this week and it's a lot easier to swap the 50# injectors out while the manifold is out... I have heard good things about the 440's... and some people tell me 50# is too much...

i just bought the 42# injectors out of a mustang. They are the green top bosch injectors. You can find them on ebay pretty cheap and if u know a friend needing them then yall can go in half. They are high imped injectors and are plug and play. That would give u plenty of fuel for what u have.

"high" impedence injectors are typically 10-14 ohms of resistance. example: most domestic injectors. this is what will function with the stock computer.
"low" impedence injectors are typically 2-4 ohms of resistance. example: 4G63 injectors. these will work with the stock computer if you add resistors in series with the injector trigger wires. you'll need heavy duty resistors. since each injector draws about 1.15 amps (13.8 = i * 12) of current, you'll need to have a resistor that can handle 15.87 watts (w = 13.8 * 1.15).
4 of these 20 watt, 10 ohm resistors will do the trick.
