I agree just by the nitrous so the car is at least faster. Whats the point of haveing pretend nitrous. If your going to go around showing off you will find ur self in races and then in a laughter match afterwards.

Oddly enough, there is a kit out there just for this purpose. Dynotune sells them. They're the same people that do the digital EGT and pressure gauges. http://www.speedshop.org/store/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=92

Lets just say this... I'm over 100whp and soon to cross 200whp. Thanx 2GNT! Now if I could only learn to prove it.

thanks for the flames guys, actually i was looking for a way to sneak some past the g/f and the parents. I had to sell the NOS because they didnt like the idea of have nitrous right behind the baby seat (thought it was somehow dangerous). Figured if I could run something that looked just like it and they knew it wasnt NOS, then i could switch it over to NOS later without them realizing it. Just trying to figure out a way to sneak past them without hearing them complain all the time.

If it's a safety issue, why lie about it? Why not just respect their wishes or find another place to mount the bottle?

if your driving your kid around and your afraid johnny tran might come by and shoot up your ride causing your nitrous bottle to explode, just take the nitrous bottle out. but seriously, why act like your using something they obviously dont like then plan to do a switcharoo. imo you could just taken the bottle out or something and saved it for later. and i dunno who your gonna impress purging co2..do you really wanna explain to the person at the light next to you that "its not really nitrous, its co2..." thats almost as bad as the kid i called out the other day for havin upwards of 8 NOS stickers on his car but no system. he informed me that it was just to deter people from racing him......i laughed him outta the parking lot. how about you save the however much money its gonna cost you to rig this and put it towards something worthwhile. surely you have somehting better to do than rig up a fake nitrous system?? please??

Edit: and i know exactly what its like to have bitchy parents when it comes to car mods. they have been set against me since i started. and do they know about my nitrous?? nooooope and i tend to keep it that way. purging in front of them, especially with a child is in the car may not be the best way to gain their support emoji

guys i never said anything about spraying with him in the car, just that everyone was throwing a fit about having a bottle IN the car at all. Seems like they all watched Fast and Furious, and now think my car is gonna explode like in the movie. Has nothin to do with saving face, cuz im not really THAT concerned with what everyone else considers cool or not, I guess I just wasnt detailed enough in my original post about the situation.

It's a safty issue it is ur kid. Nitrous is not flamable but mixed with gas it is exslposive and burns faster. N20 the gas is also deadly if some reason u got rear ended your bottle gets a leak you hit your head get knocked out ur kid is fine till he is subdued to n20. Guess what if i had a kid i wouldn't even have him in my car. Trade the car in and get a town car.

Well, based solely on the fact that he's even ASKING about doing this leads me to assume that he'd be doing this himself. Which means theres' a good chance he won't tighten everything down properly. Which means there'll be n2o leaking into the car. Which means he'll have a dead baby on his hands.

Upside of this is that the baby would be a martyr for the anti-ricer movement?
