#65434, "is this a good deal?"

this guy on dsmtuners has offered to sell me a turbo, bov and wastegate for 120 shipped. the turbo is a garret with a t series flange, its got an internal wastegate and the bov is a stock one from a saab 9000. ive seen pics and everything looked to be in good condition. is this worth it for a startup to my custom turbo setup or should i wait till i have the money for a 16g/20g?

Depends what T series it is. Prob. it is just a T-25 that he had on his 2G, and for $120 I would just save up and do it right the first time. Ive half-assed so many things in my life which Ive regreted, so my advice is to do it right the first time (even though it may be more money).

I'd save up for the s16G as well. You never know when you might find a HRC manifold for sale in the for sale section and then you'd have the hardest part of your kit taken care of. Besides, it's a really nice turbo imo.

thats what i figured. off topic from my first question, which turbo would be best for my power goals, out of a 16g and 20g? i want to get about 300whp and run mid 13's.

That would be attainable with the s16G.

since the s16g is smaller, it would spool faster, correct?

It will spool faster than a 20G, but will have less top end that a 20G, so you have to weigh out what you want more. More top end vs faster spool.

Yes, a smaller turbo would be ideal for a daily driver.
