Can the ECU control 24# injectors AND provide good drivability like stock? I'm putting in a P&P intake and I have buddies that have some Ford 24#'s in much better cond than my 235's for the cost of a few beers. I also run about 5 psi and would like to bump it to 8 on 93 octane (since my little town just got it). I don't boost everyday and I'm waiting to rebuild the motor and fuel in less than a year when I graduate college and have this car as a toy. It has been fairly cold now (30's and 40's) and really don't want to have problems in the morning, so if somebody has actually ran 24# on stage I fuel system please respond. Thanks.

You will be just fine with the 24's...Also, for another tidbit of info, to convert CC's to pounds/hour, divide CC's by 10.5 So stock 235cc/ 10.5 = 22 pound/hour Your 24 pound/hour = 252 cc's. Should be easily controlled by the ECU.

I knew the CC's but most redneck Ford guys don't: so I just refer to them as 24#. I'm glad you answered since you have ran a similiar set-up to mine. Will I have to change my 12:1 disk in the FMU?

Well, that I'm not too sure about. I never used the FMU, just the SFMU, which is pretty easily adjusted for larger injectors. If you plan on going even larger for injectors in the near future, i'd suggest to pick up a SFMU, as you can tailor and fine tune your fuel pressure with it. All you can do with the FMU is change out the disk, which isn't very versitle when you change injector sizes. I guess if anything, you will run slightly rich, but thats ok if you want to play it safe..will prob give you a *little* more room to run a pound or two more of boost, over using the stockers.. Just try out the 12:1, and see what your gauges are telling you when you are in boost..

pimp-o-licious! If I can get my hands on them by the end of this week, I'll report back and let you know how they work out. I want to get a few passes on the track at 8 psi and still drive it home. I'd get a S-FMU by spring break, but it needs a paint job so I'm shelling 300 bones for my paint so I can shoot it if spring break is warm enough to.

I've run 24 lb/hr Ford injectors as my primaries for a year or so. The car runs fine with them. I did lower my fuel pressure to more closely match the stock injectors (26 psi at idle). I just did that because my stockers were dirty and 24 lbs were convenient.

did you lower the FP with a S-FMU? I won't have that luxury, but I think it should lower my EGT's at WOT and maybe give me a chance to make 8 psi more feasible with a stage I fuel set-up.

I do have an adjustable FPR to lower the pressure. If you can't do it, thats fine. The 24's are only slightly larger than stock. The ECU can adjust. Once the fuel pressures get high (boosting), you may notice that you are way too rich. You'll have to experiment.
