ok so i got a straight 90 degree bend for the intercooler piping and within the last month two people told me i should get a smooth 90... whats the difference overall? what type do you guy use? where did you buy it from etc?

go to your local auto parts store with the blue elbow you have. i asked them to match it up with a radiator tubing. it took them about 10 minutes but they found a radiator hose from some car that had the correct bend in it.

you don't want the 90 degree straight bend because the air doesn't flow nicely through it. the curved one just helps the air go where it needs to.

the hose cost me 10 bux. the reason why i changed mine is because it popped on 18lbs of boost.

my thought, isnt it usually under boost pressure.
Does the airflow matter under pressure, isnt the pressure constant throughout IC piping anyways. Im sure it wont make a niticable difference even if my thoughts are incorrect

air isn't just air.

how quickly the air moves it what it is. think about an exhaust. would you rather have mandrel bent pipes or have crushed pipes in a 90 degree bend..
