ok.. recently i took off my hahn kit k&n air filter.. its slightly damaged and really too dirty to clean.. i went everywhere to find the same one. no dice. so.. i purchased a cheap air filter which is the same sized fitting on the pipe but the filter is coned shaped. the end of the cone is a filter as well.

so.. my question is, do you think changing filters is a bad idea? i personally noticed that this cheap air filter seems to be pulling in more air. sure sounds like it..

Becareful of the cheap cone filters. Mine came apart and i was pretty lucky.







I replaced ^^^ that one with a universal K&N Xtreme filter. If you want i can take pics of it and get you the part #.
