ok, i know the oil sending unit is a 1 1/16" deep socket, well guess what it doesn't fit, my sending unit is stripped just a lil bit that it won't catch. so 2 questions, is it possible to do it with an adjustable or can i break that sensor off somehow and pound a smaller socket onto it and then fix the sensor? please help as soon as possible

It's 1 1/16", yeah, but it's deeper than a deep socket. Buy an oil pressure sending unit removal socket already.
