Yeah let us know how it works out. I really want to use this on my Z for a secondary bank of injectors.

Don't worry... I'll make a write up on it...

I have the Megasquirt assembled already... and best of all after plugging it into my computer it works!

So now once I put my exhaust manifold back on the car tomorrow I'll start installing the MS...

I plan to have it running next weekend... if not before. All depends on how much time I have this week.

Update:

I have made the decision to use GM sensors and not the factory sensors.... It's a lot easier to install a GM IAT sensor and Coolant temp sensor than to setup the MS to work wiht the 2gnt temp sensors...

Plus the sensors can be purchased from Autozone for $9.99 each.. not too bad.

The factory sensors will be left in place, attached to the factory ECU which will handle ignition control.... for now... once the MS is handling fuel perfectly, then I'll setup the Megasquirt'N'Edis setup... then I'll have full control over ingition and fuel... emoji

Sounds good. Are you using the straight up Megasquirt code or some other variant. I'm waiting to see if you can get the air idle control motor to work. I've read that there is support for certain stepper type motors - just not sure if it'll work with ours. Good luck and keep us posted.

Actualy I may still use the2gnt sensors.... I had reason to believe that they would be difficult... but they may be fine after all...

Also at first I'll be running the standard MS code...
And I plan on letting the stock ecu control the IAC at first... untill I get my quad throttle body setup ready...

from what I've gathered from this thread your going to use this as your primary fuel supply. I'm looking into MS as just a EIC, so I think I'm still going to be in the dark as to exactly what I'll need to do even after you get yours working...but I'm still excited to see what your findings are. Good Luck!

Yupp... this is going to be my main fuel controller.... so be honest I dont know WHY you would use the MS for an EIC when it kicks ass so good on its own!

But if you are going to use it as an EIC... just use it the same way as the Corbin 8 injector setup... exactly the same... only you need to program your tables to only add fuel over say 100psig....

well basically to take some of the guess work out of tuning the car. I personally think the stock ECU does alright from full vacuum to static pressure. What I'm confused about is wether or not I'll need all the MS sensors...like you say tune it to kick in a certain fuel pressure and positve manifold pressure. Will I need the tach signal...probably...Intake air temp. emoji..and so on and so forth To tell you the truth I'm leaning towards the E01 or whatever it is...Corbins set up...the only reason I'm considering MS is the cost...you get alot for a little...it's just untested in our world...this is were you come in emoji

But on the other hand, with my quad throttle body project, MS will certainly give me the flexibility and power I need to make everything happy, if I use it as the primary fuel controler. Idunno..my head is spinning right now...LOL

WEll why dont you just wait till next week and I'll tell you how mine is running and then there will be a 420a MS running to set the benchmark.... emoji
