Im getting the PTE SC-60 turbo and im trying to figure out which wastegate would be best. The Tial 38mm or the 40mm? any one know or have an idea of which would work the best? or would be the best?

I bought a 38mm Tial with my new SC-61. It fits the 35mm flange that my deltagate fit on.

I was told that the 40mm would not fit on my star manifold wastegate flange. There may be an adapter that I'm not aware of though.

38mm Tial will be just fine with that turbo.

If you are having a custom manifold made, then by all means jump to the 40mm.

A buddy of mine is running the 40mm Tial with a S20g on a modified(neon)HRC manifold and loves it. FWIW the thing is rock solid at the 26psi he's seen so far.

you want a bigger wastegate to maintain smaller boost pressures or extrememly high pressures.
40mm is about double the price as a 38mm i think

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.
If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast.

ya, the 38mm should be plenty. i dont plan to run really low boost so it should not be a problem.
other question i have is what is the difference between the T31 wheel, T350 wheel, and the T04 wheel? is it just bigger? or is it actually different? would the t350 wheel fit the same mani as the t31? and what about the t04 wheel? or are they just different wheels?
