I bought the super 16g turbo from HRC and the oil line kit. Now i have the straight and curved oil return flange. Why does my wastegate actuator (arm) rub on the oil return line and flange, i cannot get it to not rub against it. Will that cause any problems? I am so pissed off right now with this car. I mine as well buy the hrc combo which is the turbo and manifold and start off new gain. I just ordered a manifold from Alain, but if i cannot get everything right what good would it do, so i may have a super 16g turbo and alain maniold(T3 flange for super 16g) for sale soon if i keep having problems.

Can you post a pic? The oil return flange and hose should point down, so it shouldn't rub against the w/g acuator. It might be close to the downpipe or rub against the lower heater hardpipe.

I will try and get a pic hopefuly, but i bought a universal super 16g from HRC when they had them for $500 and the wastegate actuator is bolted to where it was on the turbo and then the arm rubs against the oil return as it goes the the wastegate flapper on the turbo. I just checked my turbo and i have some serious shaft play so it looks like i will be buying the combo package from HRC sometime next week.

the only thing i could think of is that ur turbo has been clocked by previous owner. meaning the turbine housing was rotated along with the exhaust side and they re-attached it to where it worked for them. remember ur goin to want the turbo to be level to the return line is straight and not kinked. so maybe one of those two things are your issue with the rubbing. if thats the case its not hard to fix b/c you could move where that WG arm bracket is mounted by shiftin the rest of the brackets around the compressor housing to where everything works for ur set up. as for the shaft play can't help ya out there, that is what it is....

Thanks for the reply, i talked to craig from HRC and he said i have the universal super 16g which is setup different from the one that the turbosystems come with for the eclipse rs. Well, i have to buy another super 16g since my turbo is going bad(seals). I am getting Alain's manifold soon and am going to buy the super 16g again.
