#64174, "turbo from a 86-87 turbo lancer(dodge)"

We have a dodge turbo lancer just sitting around with the 2.2 turbo'd engine, and I was wondering if anybody knew if the turbo form this car would be worth anything for me. I want to turbo my car and I know I'm going to need the manifold, missing link, fuel pump, etc., but all I'm asking is if this turbo would flow enough, or very efficently for 6-8psi of boost? What do you think, is it worth bothering with? Thanks guys.

Yes

imo, no

Edit: guess I'll say why. That turbo is probably dying from old age and high milage. Getting the custom manifold isnt going to be hard to get but the piping isnt really all that fun. But, as a project, I'm sure it will keep you busy. You have to want to do it. If you are going for easy boost, this is not the route.

imo i think if you want somethin cheap like a turbo and some acsessories go to ebay and start bidding you could get some turbo like a 14b or t-25 or somethin old for pretty cheap just get a manifold made and make it work iif you want cheap. in my other opinion just start saving like i did i just bought one today from hahn for 3099 kinda high but i think it will be well worth it.

Alright, thanks guys. I'm not even going to bother with it. Yea I've been trying to set some money aside to build my own turbo kit, it's taking a while, so this gives me more time to learn everything i need to know about tuboing my car first. But just out of curosity does anybody know what kind of turbo it is?

I've got another question about this car. How big are the injectors on this car and would they work for mine? Would anything from the turbo system work for my car? Thanks.

they are big but they are also low-impedance so they don't work
