I've been on this form for a year or so researching the forums and the web on turboing my 2gnt. I have seen only ONE turbo manifold. I know a couple guys like motofool, make custom but I have seen any pics of them, so why are they all the same style is it because it is the best design for our cars?? I was planning on building a custom that mocks the 4g63 manifold is this a bad idea??? I need info on why our turbo manifold options so limited??? Thanks guys

there are techinaly 4 types of manifolds runnign around
HRC STAR
Fast Fabrications tubular/ directional style
custom manifolds log style my these people alain95i4 ted morgan and some by lazarus
i have pics of every type of manifold email be and i can show you.
You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.
If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good. If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast. If you want it good and fast, it's not going to be cheap.

could you please send me pics and info of the none log type manifolds you build or others. so I assume most use the log style because it is the cheapest and most commen?? But what I was asking is why did they chose to make that the standerd? thanks for any help I may just end up ordering one from you(motofool. email: lanceitadsd@hotmail.com

the log manifold was used because of two reasons.
1) ease of build call mcmaster car order wled els get 2 flanges whip outa mig welder and go to town
2) its very strong if designed and welded right.
tubular manifolds are best performance wise but it takes alot of reaserch to get the turbo situated ina usable spot let alone keep it from cracking due to the heavy turbo and being so hot. Thus tubular manifolds are MUCH harder to build design and fail much quicker especially if not designed perfect

first the engine bay is not the most turbo friendly with the A/C compressor, power steering and starter layout second when you start doing manifolds for the custom crowd everyone wants to try this or that particular turbos and beg you to do a manifold for a turbo that you don't have on your hand, the results are always bad so in the end you stick with something that works and force it to your customers

Hey thanks guys for all your help. I wouldn't mind paying 400$ for that manifold I'd rather not but I realy don't like the log style. Alain you sell manifold too right? thank I'm need a manifold but its hard to find them for the 14b they are all T3. thanks

I do 14b manifold for the 420a the work with a small modification of the turbocharger and you will have to replace the o2 housing by something custom because my manifold put the turbo with a 45 degres angle facing toward the radiator they are $300 they look like this one
