#63917, "Question on the "fooling the safc mod""

i was reading this article on the mods page, and in this it says that you can use to just control while under boost. my question is, what would you do to control the larger injectors during vaccum and idle? i will be using 370cc injectors. any thoughts or ideas? especially from corbin.

You would lower your fuel pressure. Less pressure = less fuel.

actually, metal jim, while i have your attention, i remember a little while back you posted something about putting a resistor inline on the o2 sensor wire for high flow cats. do you remember what size it was and on what wire it goes on, i want to get rid of this code before i put my turbo on next week, cause i'm sure i will have a bunch more of them then.

The external MAP reads during vacuum too. So, you could use this mod to change fueling under vacuum or wherever you want. I would primarily use the S-FMU to control fuel using fuel pressure. You could then use the S-AFC to make fine adjustments. Personally, I'd do everything possible not to even use a S-AFC. Try to do everything with the fuel pressure. If the car still won't run well, get a S-AFC or try a different fuel system.
