#63673, "Fuel Pressure Question??"

Hi guys, i have a 440cc RC Injectors and AEM FPR i also have a Apex'i AFC the person who currently worked on my car set the pressure at 40psi on my FPR, and connected a tube to my throttle body. so everytime i boost the psi raises by 1...i boost at 6psi only. is that a recommeded idle pressure?? cause im smellin alot of fuel at idle and my A/F gauge is always at rich.

my fuel pressure is 14psi with 440cc injectors. sounds like the person hooked up your fpr wrong as well. can you post a pic?

yeah that sounds kind of high for idle fuel press. with 440's. mine is closer to 11-12.

hehe, I don't doubt you have a bad O2 sensor with all the unburned fuel going through your exhaust emoji

Definately too much idle fuel pressure...

I run much lower than that...
Is that reading at idle with the fpr under vacum? Or with the vacum disconected?

With 440's youll want about 15 - 20 psi with the fpr under vacum at idle.

its running 40psi fuel pressure under vacuum on idle. if i lower it, will that resolve the awful heavy smell of fuel? i also have wiseco forged pistons 8:5:1 if that will make any difference.

That's too much fuel. I have stock injectors and I run 47 psi just to let you know.
