I have an Autometer electric gauge and on my way to work I noticed it wasn't moving...at all. Usually when I first get in the car it is on like 57psi, then when I start the car it momentarily drops to 0, then back up to the idle pressure, and moves according to boost like it should. Now today it's just stuck, even when I start the car it doesn't drop to 0, then back up like normal.

I know my fuel pressure is rising because my egt and o2 readings are the same as they usually are.

Could it just be the ground wire? I want to fix it tonight but would like to have some sort of idea since it's like 5 degrees outside now and it'll be dark when I get home.

Yeah, just check all of the connections to see if they are secure, not cut, not, etc...

u could also try this... pop your gauge out of the pod. and pull out the red wire on the gauge. should make a weird noise when u do this (or maybe when its when u put it back in) then your gauge might work. ive done this a couple times and works for me.

This just happened to me last week. When I turn on the car, the needle sat at zero and never moved. I checked for +12V at the gauge and it was good. So I jacked up the car, thinking it was the signal wire, and discovered that the signal wire had broken off from the oil sending unit. It could possible be a loose or broken ground wire.

k thanks, I just wanted to make sure something like this would happen with a disconnected wire and not a busted gauge. I think it's weird that the needle is still staying at 47psi. You would think if it wasnt connected it would sit at 0. I didn't check it last night since when I got home it was 5 degrees and snowing out but I'll check it out tonight.

My bad, I read your post kinda fast. So, does the gauge stay at ~47psi, even when the ignition is turned off?
