1. Which is the best brand?
2. I don't want to use more than a 50 shot, but will a 50 hurt my engine any. I will only spray once in a while so will that be ok?

NX is the most reputable and probably the best. you will be fine with a 50 shot that you dont use too often but sooner or later you will want to look into rebuilding your engine.

get a wet system so you don't have to worry about fuel problem
