Hey guys, I have a question, I have a 98 eclipse GS, and need more power(surprise) Is their any way to build an engine to get immediate performance, but also be able to handle mild boost down the road if I want to go turbo ? I know it's a matter of compression, so any ideas would be appreciated.

if you might want turbo eventually, why not just do it all in one shot? you need different compression for turbo and n/a so might as well do it right the first time.

The reason that I don't do it all at once is that I don't want to dump $7000 into this car all at once. I'm not sure how long I am going to keep this car so I like to do things gradually, because when I do sell the car I know I'm going to lose whatever money I have put into it. But ideally that would be the way to go.
