i read on tuners that the autometer gauge that comes with the probe is crap, is this true? what probe do i need to get? thanks!

Many people like the fast reacting www.TeamRip.com probe--it's fast reacting. You can also get the probe at Summit Racing for about the same price as the TRE one. It's also an open design. Summit part number is ATM-5249. Westach also makes a good piece.
