Okey, I've talked to Dee' the shop forman at RPM Intermountain (www.rpmrons.com) and we have made an appointment for my shortblock to have new barings/rings/seals put in. He recommended the JE NG series rings for the turbo application... He also quoted me a price of $300.00 to replace all the rings/barings/seals on the bottom end..
Is there anything else i should have them do to the lower end?

from reading the other posts, it dosent seem like you need these things. i would just try and stick that other hg on and see what comes about. and try to break this engine in a little longer that you did the other one.

I think i may just go ahead and rering and baring it... and take it a little more easy this time around... I would rather be more safe then sorry... This spring/summer i want to be big down at the tracks... instead of stuck in my garage frustrated and pissed off.

what head gasket are you usging?
make sure the surfaces are machined and smooth if you extra protection for blown head gaskets if you aren't already usgins arp bolts/studs then grab some napa hitack gasket spray that head gasket will never blow again.
You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.
If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good. If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast. If you want it good and fast, it's not going to be cheap.

Thus why im spending an other $500.00 to have them put JE NG series rings in them and new barings and seals and new gaskets... top and bottom ends... so pritty much a complete rebuild again...
This time around i'm not going to push ANY boost at all while breaking it in for the first 1000miles after that maybe 5lbs at the most for the next 1000... then i might crank it up a little more but want to make sure i have a solid breakin.... my mistake last time is i was going balls out racing turbo jetta's on the freeway.
stupid is as stupid does.. i guess... you learn from your mistakes... Boost is like caffiene you gotta get your fix.

I'm quite a good friend of Dee's at rpmrons... He knows who i am.. Please tell me you aren't having addit2yourtoy.com doing stuff to your car? If Dee refers you to them avoid them at all costs! They treat you as if you aren't an important customer... they let my car sit outside for like 3 weeks and didn't even touch it even as i paid him money.
If you need any pointers at all give me a hollar... mine was setup quite well until i decided to push it a little harder then i should have....
