solevent works sometimes..

oil eater from costco does wonders.

if you want to clean the cast parts (iron) search for a post about electrolis or electric turbo cleaning..

its a process of usging electricity to make the particles fall off the iron.

the cold side should have a couple bolts on the back side and then it should come right off tap it lightly bet it comes off..

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.
If you want it cheap and good, it's not going to be fast.
