Well, it's been a tuff past 2-3 months. I now have my second daughter and life has been fairly busy with the holidays and with the 5-6ft of snow we recently received here in Salt Lake City.

I have had this big problem with lack of motivation to work on my Eclipse since winter has started the weather plays a big part of it even though i have had a garage for the past 6months It's just really cold here.

Just a recap of what had happend.

I recently rebuilt my 1998 420a eclipse rs and not only did i rebuild it i put a body kit and new seats and droped the fuel tank and put in a fuel cell completely rebuilt the fuel system and did some custom welds along with a t3/t4 hybrid ball baring turbo and front mount.

About 4 weeks after we got her on the road she started making a weird ticking noise and anyhow you can search on here for past articles by me explaining more about what happend.

I recently purchased a forced air heater for my garage and that solved my motivation problem. When i bought my house it already had hydrolic lift in the garage.. that made it very nice, however, my car is so dang low to the ground the only car right now i can use it on is my 3 series bmw and my wifes malibu.

Last night i decided it was time to start working on solar again... I need to get the engine out and check the pistons and rods and barings... I also need to clean up the exhaust work... it was kinda put in a hurry by one of the guys that perviously worked on the project.

I called www.rpmrons.com today to pickup my head, and it will be ready tomorrow... I want to have it present in my garage just in case we decide to just throw the other headgasket on and see if that was what the problem was before we decide to do a complete rebuild.. but that is up in the air right now.

Todd is coming over (other mechanic part owner of Streamline Racing) tonight and we are going to look at what we got to deal with to finish taking this motor out. We have the axles out and the head is off and the coolant pipes are off and right now it looks as all we have to do is unmount the motor and take it out and make sure all the wiring harness are unplugged.

I have posted some recent pictures taken last night if anyone is interested in following this project further.

We have a 10g fuel cell... their is a big weight advantage... and space i guess... the only downside is we have to fill up every 180miles and their isn't a fuel light anymore emoji and you throw all sorts of C.E.L. Codes.. because the sensors are no longer there...

How are we going to get this thing past inspection... who knows... but we will sure try.

I loved the venom... the venom fuel rail was quite the bitch though.
