#6302, "its been a while, here are some updates on my motor"

First off I want to say I am very pleased to see that even though I have been out of the loop, you guy's here have shown MAD respect. As most know I have had a second motor go on me.
Here is what I have found out the past 2 days.
The motor is now a part and cylinders #2-3 have hundreds of scratches that might be too deep to boar out(if I wanted to) so that means the pistons are toast if anyone was wondering. (wiescos). #1 has "a" deep grove in it. So as of right now I dont know what the F^%&*% happend. I am starting to think my bearings went. Will finish the tear down this next few weeks and let you all know.

NOTE: Mind you I was at 22 PSI when this happened so dont get the impression that all 420A with turbo's will end up the way mine did. Peace!!!!!

what were you using to judge that you had enough fuel? the A/F guage? an EGT? The only reason i ponder this is because stock injectors (235 cc) can handle roughly 10 PSI, 440's should only be able to handle roughly 20 lbs. of boost. at least without doing all of the math. And that would be pushing it i would think since 10 PSI on 235's is beyond the safe limit for the most part. Also, did you have any form of ignition retard hooked up? i just don't see how 440's could possibly be enough to sustain 22 lbs. of boost. you can't barely push over 16 PSI with 450's on a 4g63. Granted if you a/f gauge was still reading rich, thats cool, but i have heard so much talk on how you should not rely on those because they are rather innacurate, and get more innacurate with higher EGT's, which with lean conditions is quite possible. I don't know..i am just pondering an explanation as to why your motor blew. have you pulled the pistons out yet? and have you found cracked ringlands? i would think that would be the best explanation to scratched cylinder walls.

He had a fuel pressure gauge,egt,air/fuel gauge. And the car was putting out so much black smoke that there is no way in hell that he was running lean. I was there when it happened.
