Well, I just installed my Relay for the HRC 2 kit. Originally I never had one and just wired the inline pump direct. So I figued if I added the relay maybe that would take care of my high egt reading at WOT. To my dismay it did not..instead, now when I turn off my car I get this loud surge from the pump...and it sounds as though both pumps are running together all the time? Another thing is my water temp. is getting hot and will not go down at idle. I thought it was my fan but, my fan is working fine...any idea why my car would be overheating now that I installed the Relay ??
And I still cant figure out why my car runs so hot (egt temp) when Im at WOT in third gear...I cant even shift to 4th until I let off the gas for a few sec. ?
Is the anyone in the San Fran bay area that can Help me with tuning my car? Im almost to the point of just giving up all together.

EGT Monitoring
EGT monitoring can be a very effective tool in tuning, but "ideal" EGT can vary from engine to engine dependant upon combination. Usually, 1300 to 1500 degrees F is optimal for normally aspirated engines on gas, while gas turbos will run optimally @ 1500 to 1650. An important note: this is measured before the turbo, not after, as the turbo will reduce EGT by an average 200 degrees F.

hey Robert its "Z". i am almost certain you have wired up the relay wrong dude! you have to get a seperate power source from the battery and a ground to the relay to charge the coil in the relay. then you get the power from the stock pump, that is the sigal for the relay to switch on the pump 2. a relay is basically a switch that is turned on by another power source and is turned off the same way. call me if ya got questions later "Z"
