I was driving home from our AZ 2GNT meet and my car suddenly had zero power. No matter how much gas i gave it it would just slowly accelerate. A quick check of gauges looked normal except that when i hit the gas i noticed i would stay in vacuum. So i pulled over and the rest of the AZ group followed shortly. We didnt see anything wrong in the engine bay so i decided to limp it home. Since i wasnt getting any boost i figured i would check out my turbo first.
Here is what i saw when i pulled my intake piping off the turbo.
Here is where it came off my filter.
I guess this is why i didnt have any power. Thank god that it wasnt smaller.
Anyone think i may of done any damage? There was some slight oil right inside the turbo when i pulled the intake off.
I am going to write the company that makes that filter a nice letter today

all i have to say is phew. i would say no damage. if that piece cant touch any part of the turbo except the inlet hold, no prob. good luck getting a settlement from that company.

Have you seen anymore oil in there John? Still think you dodged a bullet there? Just curious. I was thinking this morning that I was behind you for a while Saturday night when you were having the scare of your life and I never saw any smoke, so maybe there was just a little bit of oil that squeaked by in there.
