#61595, "Info on NX and nitrous maximizer"

Do any of you guys use a NX wet kit? What do you think of it as opposed to ZEX or NOS? Also do any of you have the NX maximizer. It seems to look pretty cool, I like the thought of being able to tune the system. I can't tell from their site if it works with all their kits, I would assume so. I'm just lookin for some extra umph until I rebuild and boost my car. Any help from you guys who already spray would be great.

i ran nx for a while. i liked it, although theres not a lot of science to nitous kits, so either NOS or NX will be good. stay away from Zex emoji emoji

not familiar with the maximizer, sorry.

What was the problem w/ZEX? The maximizer works sort of like tuning through a datalogger. You can time window switches how much n20 to introduce @ what rpm, pull timing etc. It seems to be a pretty cool piece of equipment.

Zex uses some electrnic control stuff that a lot of people have had issues with.

sounds like the maximizer would be a good thing. although i think the window and rpm stuff is a lot more usefull when running high Hp shots. you really wouldnt get a lot of benefit out of it using the 75hp or less jets recommended for stock blocks. you would really see the benefits if you were running a 150 or 200hp direct porting set-up.

I am using a Venom Kit and I like it very much. It has a "brain" which controls the nitrous injection by reading the TPS, A/F, etc. The Venom 2000 is a similar unit to what you are talking about. It has an interface that attaches to your laptop and allows you to setup windows, change the amount of nitrous injected, and a cool feature that progressivly increases the amount of nitrous injection according to throttle position and revs. Cool stuff.

I have the NX wet kit. Works great! Best bang for the buck. TPS switch is all you need. Floor it and it kicks in. Pretty simple. Dont go over a 75 shot on stock internals though. It can hold the 75 w/ no problems.

How much does the venom 2000 run, and where do you suggest I buy one from? NO one in my area is using venom nitrous set ups, what is your best time at the track?

I am actually only running the VCN-1000 but i have considered upgrading into the 2000. To buy it new I think is around 1000. I would just buy it from them direct, they are really nice guys. I broke my harness and tried to fix it myself, and ended up making it worse. They sent me a new replacement for free even though it was kinda my fault.

You can download the manuals from there also. That gives you a good idea of what it will do.

Thanks for the info guys. Danm $1000 bucks to spray seems a little steep to me. I could just about go stage 1 turbo for that. I look into it though.

Also have you guys had in issues with traction?
