#61488, "O2 sensor tuning (do I need a new O2 sensor?)" Nov-29-03 06:03 AM by mitsudsr
Well I have been trying to tune my car all week by using the O2 voltages. Well it seems as though my O2 sensor is not always reading the same level. I let the car warm up to 190deg before I boost it but the first time I boost the O2 voltages are way lean. Then the next time I boosta few seconds later the are little richer and the next time a little more richer and so on. Well after I do a bunch of pulls I get the numbers that I like .92 or better volts. So then I cruise arround for a while and then boost again the voltages are back to being lean wtf. Do I just simply need a new O2 sensor? By the way my latest upgrades are safc, #42inj., and profecb spec 2. I know I cannot really be lean but I drives me crazy to see those lean voltages at all. Thanks for any suggestions. Patrick 96 GS 14.14 @ 96.5 mph on 8psi 8 Nov.02 HRC kit, S20G, FMIC, Howell bottom end 8.6 pistons, S-FMU, Blitz BOV, P&P head, SS valves, lots more little goodies
