I bought one of these cause I was talked into it, but wanted the spec 1. Well this thing is a bitch to tune for the right boost. It has 3 different things that can effect the boost press. I cannot get it to make any real boost(over 13psi). Then it will also make boost very slowly and feel like it is lugging a bit. I am getting a little bit of fuel cut when entering boost and need to buy a ML but the group 5 web sight is messed up so I have not found one. I am also going to check my plugs in the morning. Any info will help out greatly. Thanks,
Patrick

i just got one also about 1 month ago.. i was confused at first.. do this set everything to zero for 'set', 'gain', and 'start boost' set all the rest up first. ok just set each one in order first do 'set' while your stepping on the gas keep turning the knob till you get the boost you want for me i learned when setting up the 'set' i would have it go up to .5bar or 7psi or whatever and then set up the gain ( which is used to keep your boost solid ) fyi when you increase gain it will increase your boost level. thats why i recommend when setting up your set boost to keep it low somewhat. then go on to set up your 'start boost' this should be done last, it should be about 2-4psi less then your max boost so it will not spike, and so that you will have quick spool up.
good luck

i also have this unit, but it's in my garage waiting to be installed along with a boatload of other greddy components. once i get my car back from satan this week (they're replacing ignition cylinder and other locks that were broken in the break-in) i'll post a review on the main page. i'll concentrate with compairing it to my first boost controller (hallman manual style) and my 2nd boost controller (blitz EVC spec-s, this one was stolen)

BTW, i also bought the ricer steering wheel hi/low boost button that's designed to work with the PRofec units. it should be fun.

Well I figured it out. I said I would check my plugs this morning just to be safe and sure enough. The plugs where worn and the gap had expanded to about .40-.42! I was getting blow out, so I regapped them and wow what a diff. So I went down to a local parts store and ordered some 7E plugs to put in on sunday. On a side note my o2 sensor is out of its mind. I am using a scan tool to check my a/f # when tuning and it shows lean some times and rich other times it will not stay consistant at all. I think I may need a new one but dont want to shell out the money if I dont have to. Do you think I need a new o2?
