Well I definitely decided to go with the starion FMIC, and am in the process of trying to aquire one...
My question: Has anyone made their own custom piping for a starion IC yet? (not including using parts of stage 2 piping from HRC)
The outlet for the IC comes off the end tank and across the IC to the driver side of the car. (perfect for the 420a application.) You would think it wouldn't be too hard to get some place to weld pipes together, but its starting to look a lot more expensive than I anticipated.
If anyone has hints or easy ways around paying a shop 400+ dollars to weld some pipes together, I would appreciate it.

Well the thing about dsm.org is that they don't cater to turbo 420a applications. Everything they have there is for the 4G63 upgrades, and would not work with the 420a. I'm sure they are similar, but the piping measurements would be different. thanks though.

It will be pretty much the same as the 4G63 just turned around. Anyway you should contact MWC. Here's the 2.5" custom piping he made for the greddy (not a starion but inlets and outlets are identicle to how you should modify the starion). By cutting a little pipe (the one from the compressor) and using a 90deg coupler I will soon have it adapted to the starion intercooler (also scavanged from the same car) and star kit. He made if from a 68' Camaro's exhaust. Search an old thread and go to his website. JasonESi-T beat me to the 1rst piping for sale (glad you didn't need the intercooler too) but things come to those who wait . Just dont wait too late (bored and corny at 5:30am. why am I even up).
