#60997, "Need Your Suggestions On Project Solar II"

Okey, I have almost got the engine and transmission out of Solar... I plan on having it out by this weekend, at this point im taking it down to RPMRONS.COM to have it re-ringed, re-honed, and new barings put in... I have my choice of rings... can some of you suggest the best type of rings that can hold a lot of beating?

Also I'm looking for suggestions on Injector size since i have the fuel rail off i might as well.. This is what i currently have and performance i would like to see out of it.

I currently have the following:

Crower Rods
JE Forged Pistons 8.8 to 1
Rings - to be announced
Venom Intake Manifold
Venom Fuel Rail
MSD DIS-2 Ignition
MSD Coil
SAFC
SFMU
10G Fuel Cell
440cc Injectors
50# Injectors
Stock Injectors
Port/Pol/Mill Head
MLS Head Gasket
ARP Head Studs
Inovative Hybrid T3/T4 Turbo
Front Mount Intercooler

I am also looking for a decent boost controller... I want the car to be able to idle "Ok" and want it to be able to rip shit up too when i want it too... I don't want to be the fastest car in town but would like to run at least mid 12's or high 13s..

Also anyone know what i can do with my tranny? are there some cool things i can do to it?

Thanks guys.
Phil

in the tranny you need to mod the diff pin so it doesn't brake and add an lsd..

there are three lsds currently

phantom grip
quiafe
and the clutch type diff that dino uses.

if it was me id go for the clutch type diff with a phantom grip diff pin with the cir clips to hold it in..

other then that there isn't anything needed in the tranny replace the axles seals and get a good clutch..

You can have it cheap, fast or good. Pick any two.

If you want it cheap and fast, it's not going to be good.

on the rings ive had the best luck with speed pro rings they seem to be the strongest and also come stock witha a moly coating on them..

you might want to look into some 14 or 16 seris crane cams that would be a decent improvement over stock...

minimum stage 3 ceramic clutch for that setup...
and your gonna need axles..
spec/clutch masters

a new clutch line from rre if you got everything out would be another litle thing to do..
(SS 20$)

a UR race pulley with no p/s or a/c 48% underdriven would fit nicely into that mix.
or afx if you like p/s and a/c

some cam gears for the cams..
