Autozone and Pepboys both stock two versions of this gasket. Fiber or Metal laminated. It's a standard 2.5" Domestic "header collector" gasket. Look in the section with the chrome air cleaners and misc. domestic bling aisles. They're stocked in all the Autozones I've seen, even little mall ones. Exact match to the metal layered gasket supplied by HRC. They both work, the metal one probably will last longer.

PS- It is NOT behind the counter, the Autozoneouters usually have no idea what you're talking about. They're out on the shelves in the actual store.

yea, i picked up an az gasket earlier, and its just a bit too big. the sealing surfaces of the gasket are too close to the edge of the turbo, so i thik it will work, temporarily. in the long run it will probably leak or blow out though. i did ask the guy at the store and he tried to match it up in the back, to no avail.

i've heard (not sure though) that rre sells them.. it's the same as one of the t3/t4 gaskets that they sell, i think*. anyone know for sure?

actually i seem to remember someone saying something about it being the same as the turbo to dp gasket on one of the older turbo thunderbirds. not sure.

I personally have never had ANY luck with the gasket at that location. They always seemed to burn through fairly quickly. I soon gave up.

Some people are actually just using some hi-temp RTV with better results than the gasket. Thats how mine is set up right now and it doesnt leak.

Good luck!

Like I said, they DON'T have the right gasket in the back. The closest one they have is the wrong size, you have to drill out the bolt holes to get it to fit. And like you said, it looks like it might hold for a little while. Don't get that one. Get the one in the aisles in the Domestic V8 bling section.

The gaskets I got at Autozone were an EXACT match to the HRC gasket, and half as expensive. The metal coated version lasts longer than the HRC ones too, which tend to seperate at the metal layer and burn out.

RRE didn't have them when I checked about a year ago. But they know I have a 420a and usually give me some BS answer about how they don't have any parts for a 420a turbo. Tell them its for a sikk azz 4g63 hybrid HRC bolton and they might help you.

The corect size gasket is a 2" hole, 3.5" bolt circle. Autozone had a 2.5", 3.5" gasket, which is what Matt has, and has only like 1/8" of material that will be touching the actual turboside. I could not find any other gaskets at Autozone that have a 2" or even a 2.25" bolt hole...I have looked a many places trying to find these gaskets, and have had no luck..its def an odd size..
