I am a new 2g owner and I had a few questions. My car is a 99 GS with a Hahn st2 w/fmic. The motor has been fully built from top to bottom. I bought the car this way from a guy who was moving and had to sell it right away. This car is my daily driver and will see about 18k a year. I am a little worried about this. It seems that the underhood temp is very hot(I checked my oil once after driving and the dipstick was so hot that I could barely touch it), is this the way it is supposed to be? I am not overheating, the temp needle is a little below half way, is that right? I have a Denso radiator and dual fans, it just gets really hot here in the summer and I can't be without a car. I also just bought Hahn 415cc injectors and a Vortecj S-FMU, what should the settings be at for idle fuel pressure, and how much boost can I run? These are just a few of my questions, I did do a search, but none answered my questions specifically. Thanks, I look forward to being a fast 2g owner.
Those temps are pretty normal for a boosted 2G. To make it a bit cooler, remove the weatherstripping from the back of the hood to let hot air out.

Would a hood with a vent in it be better? It rained here today and as I pulled the car into the garage I could here the water hitting the turbo and hissing.
