#60815, "Why am I running lean?"

I have the star stage one set-up and was running 5psi until one day my wastegate started to seize up and not function right. I ended up with three hairlined cracked pistons so I replace them with some 8.5.1 Wiseco forged pistons and rings? Got the car running again but have not yet replaced the wastegate, I'm still working on that. The car seems to lag real bad and I'm getting a super lean reading on my air fuel gauge. Cant' seem to figure it out. What do you guys think? I also replaced my hydro lifters with some new ones because the old ones kept on making a knocking noise, but after puting in some new ones,I'm still getting that knocking/tapping noise. Has that ever happened to any of you's. Help any one. Thanks

i bet ur wastegate is stuck open now and ur not boosting, so the sfmu doesnt see boost so it never increases the f.p. so in the higher rpms, ur prob. lean. just a thought though

Yes, I still have the stock injectors but I was only boosting 5psi when the wastgate went on me. If I were to get a new wastegate, do you guys think that it would solve the problem?

5 psi on stock injectors should be fine. I would try the wastegate first. You def. want to do something before you start screwing up that rebuilt engine of yours. What kind of FPR are you running?
