#60763, "need a SFMU w/Emanage?" Nov-15-03 05:52 PM by CrashedMax
I am about to order a SFMU for my car (currently have a craptech, but it's holding pressure well now that I have my Walboro, I'm only running 5psi). Within the next few months I'm going to build my motor and eventually in the next year start running some major boost once I get a new car. I have read a few posts about the Emanage and really want something like this that can interface with a laptop. If I just get the Emanage now, do I need the SFMU, or can I use just a FMU? Sorry if it's a stupid question, couldn't find an answer by searching.

I'm definatly replacing the cartech. I thought that the Emanage controls the injector flow? So couldn't I just use a regular FMU and control the fuel pressure w/the Emanage? << I have no idea if this is right, I just read a few posts about the Emanage and need to learn more.

You will still need a FMU with an adjustable idle for larger injectors, so you will still need the SFMU. You can control the injectors somewhat with the e-manage (pulse width I believe), but you still need a rising rate boost dependant regulator. Jamesman can elaborate further if needed, so you could e-mail him to get more info.
