when you T off vaccum line lets say from the manifold to T which runs to the wastegate and the boost gauge is there any pressure loss in the lines at the T. in other words is there as much pressure after the T in the 2 lines as there was in the single line b4 the T or is there some loss. and also i have my egt probe tapped into the very top of the downpipe right off the wastegate how much of a temp loss do u think im looking at from tapping the actual manifold.
TIA

There is no pressure loss by t'ing off the vaccum lines. There is NO vacuum involved with EGT either.

i know, kinda misunderstood me there. he had two questions, one about pressure los with the vac lines and one with how much temp would be lost on the EGT if it was on the downpipe (that, i'm not sure about) but yea, you want to tap the mani like uber said ^^^

There is abouta 200 degree temp drop at the downpipe as compared to the exhaust manifold. So if your EGT reads 1400, you are actually near 1600 at the exhaust manifold. I would suggest taping the manifold...
