Hey guys...
I was just wonderin where I pick up another gasket for where my exhaust manifold connects to the turbo housing... I read somewhere that I could pick one up from like a Dodge or somethin (I forget what), and I know that Wyatt is impossible to get stuff from, so where should I go... Its a star kit, any insight... thanks, because my exhaust leak is killin me...

Any place the sells Garrett turbos. It is just a T3 exhaust gasket.

I ordered a couple last time I made a turbonetics order. I think they were $4 each-roughly.

Ford dealership might have them in stock(SVO mustang used a T3).

I was just wonderin if it was typical that the metal turbo gasket blew out often? Ive taken the turbo off the manifold several times and never changed the gasket because I never thought that it would already be crushed...

mine never came with a gasket to put there and no leaks

Same here...no gasket and I believe it is machined down to have no gaaskt

Hmmm... Maybe Ill just sand it down and see what the hell happens... I cant find the friggin gasket though in any local speed shops, and I hate waitin...

The reason they burn up is because there is a leak of some kind. This would be a good time to watch how you torque the bolts down(evenly).

Volvo or Saab dealer might also have a gasket. They both have used a T3 turbo in previous models.

road race has all gaskets know to turbos and man kind...if they dont have it on their website they can still get it..plus they are great guy

A gasket is not really required (of course, it's a good idea). You only really need gaskets when:

1. you're changing material. i.e. aluminum to steel
the gasket compensates for the different expansion rates of the dissimilar metals.

2. poor machining/warping
in this case, the gasket compensates for the inconsistent mounting surface (which obviously would leak).
