You could try, but I dont think those will get hot enough to weld aluminum. Thin aluminum like on an IC, needs a good TIG welder. Fab up your brackets and mark where they need to go. Then take the IC to a welding shop and have them do it for you. Shouldnt be more than 20-30 bucks to do it right.

No it wont work!!! just take it to a welding shop and have it done. It wont be very much at all just for brackets.

argh thanks anyways. i just don't like dealing with muffler shops cause most of them act like they are doing you a favor or your bugging them or something..
