After this winter everything on my project eclipse will be near completion except for the engine bay. I'm building the car with the intention of having both speed, as well as looks. Looks are being taken care of now. I need a sweet engine and turbo setup to really get the car somewhat done.
If you had 10,000 to spend on just the engine, how would you build it? Basically I'm asking you guys to help me out with some ideas of what to do with a stock engine bay and 10,000 bucks to spend on it. Try to keep it around 10k, 15k max.

So many options and different schools of thought, but from what I've heard, I say wait until the third week of November(after SEMA)to make any decisions.... I have a "good feeling" that we may see something new from Hahn.

IF this was me starting from scratch this is what'd I'd do.
1. FTY 2.0L ~$1600 2. HRC 20g Manifold Combo + oil line kit ~$1100 3. Fab up a downpipe 2.5" ~$300 4. HRC 420a Eclipse FMIC + piping ~$1100 5. Gauges Boost/FP/OP/AF/EGT ~$400-600 6. BOV of choice ~$200 7. Injectors 42lb/hr or 50lb/hr ~$200 8. Vortech S-FMU + Lines + Fittings ~$350 9. E-manage Turbo Package ~$1100 E-manage PRofec E-01 Support Tool Ignition Harness Injector Harness PRofec E-01 External Signal Harness PRofec E-01 Pressure Sensor Harness PRofec E-01 Remote Switching System PRofec E-01 USB Cable PRofec E-01 Meter Cable 10. Cams ~$400 11. SS Valves ~$250 12. Port Match head, polish exhaust ports, assembly ~$300 13. Clutch ~$700 14. MSD Programmable DIS-2 ~$400 15. Misc fittings, vacuum hose, etc ~$200
Somewhere in the $8k range. Should be able to run a considerable amount of boost with that. Only other thing you may want to think about getting a LSD and a 3.55 trans. With all of this and some proper tuning you can run what ever you want.
