Well if you can quickly tell me which wire is power, I think I have the rpm signal. I'm right now trying to find a power wire that isn't hot at all times. I have a 95.

OK, I just read in another post:

Wires from AFC---------- Wires to ECU
Brown ------------------ Black w/ Brn dots 1"from ECU
Black ------------------ Same but 3" before ECU
White ------------------ Yellow w/blk stripe leaving ECU
Yellow ----------------- Same but the half that goes to the ECU
Grey ------------------- Brown w/red stripe
Red -------------------- Black w/wht stripe (thick)

So, I'll try that bl/wh wire and let you know if I have gotten the right information on the rpm sense. That wire was going to be my next guess but I diddn't want a "strike three you're out".

It works!

I see full rpms when set cylinders to 4 with the rpm wire tied to the only white wire on the front of the harness. That's the side facing the front of the car. Don't panick if the wire has dashes (like red or brown) on it. It's still a white wire. It's about 1/3 of the way down from the top. That would make the pin # like ~55... just a guess.

I actually got that info from some really old e-mails I saved from Guy and Marc.

I have a 95 talon ESi manual with A/C, Cruise p mirrors, and rear wiper. Destination is NY.

If your car has more than one white wire on the front there, let me know and I'll get you an exact pin number.

Time to go tune my no-turbo'd afc! yay...

How are you guys tapping into the wires? Are you using splitter caps or soldering? Despite my know how's on a lot of things.. I have never learned how to solder. Only time I've ever soldered was when I installed a trinity motor in my R/C car when I was a kid.

I use solder because I'm picky about that sort of thing, plus I drive my car in snow where they salt the roads. With solder you don't have to worry about corrosion. I decided NOT to cut the wires I didn't have to, but rather, trim away the insulation and use electrical tape over the soldered connections. On the MAP wire, I used heat-shrink tubing.

If you soldered capacitors to the case of that r/c car motor, I hereby declare you an advanced solderer.

I used a radio shack butane powered iron and it worked well. Just make sure it's not too hot that it starts to melt the insulation on the wires.

I started tuning, but now I have to undo that 'blue wire mod' as I can see the values are way off.

I use the little plastic thingys where you just put the open end of the wire your sending the signal too into the plastic thingy, remove some covering off the ecu wire and snap the thingy closed (I'm sure there's a name for it). I'm not a solderer either as long as they have these little thingys.
