#59069, "nitrous questions with my setup"

here is my mods list
http://www.gsturbo.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=1

car is currently pushing 341 at 19lbs of boost with the injectors basically topped out.

i want to run nitrous rather than go with more boost and all the electronic crap that comes with it. im a simple kinda guy..

anyway.. can anyone give me some advice on what to do with this setup. i would like to run a 125hp shot.

im a little confused on how the wet kit uses fuel and injectors.. in other words.. if i have maxed out my injectors by way of the turbo, then how am i going to supply more fuel for the nitrous..

any help would be nice.

thanx
James

A wet nitrous kit injects more fuel with the N2O through the same nossel...it's doesn't try to force more fuel through the injectors. It does this by having to solenoids, one for the nitrous and one for fuel and you'll have two lines going into a "Y" shape nossel or nossels, if you go with direct port. You'll have to make sure that your fuel pump(s) can flow enough fuel for this too. But judging from your mods list I'm assuming that this won't be a problem. Good luck with this I'll be very curious to see how it comes out because I would like to go this route too someday. Hope this helpe emoji

There isn't really too much else to say other than what he ^^^ said. I would highly recommend going with a direct port kit if you're going to spray 125hp. That will help the fuel atomize better and also keep the fuel/n2o mixture consistent across all intake runners. One thing to consider will be the HP strain on the engine. While you may be jetted for 125hp, you will see a MUCH bigger increase than that due to the intercooling effect since you're boosted. A buddy of mine has a Supra with a T76 on it and on the dyno when he sprayed his 75hp of nitrous he gained 210hp at the rear wheels simply because of it cooling the charge that much. Good luck man, your setup should be killer if you invest as much time and effort into this as it seems you have the rest of your car.
