#58061, "Anyone else have HRC fuel pump start problems?"
The problems usually aren't bad, but last summer i had a phase with it, and right now i seem to be. It won't prime at idle, i get no fuel. I have to sit there for 5-10 minutes and play with the starter to get the damn thing to turn on. As a solution i was thinking about bypassing the relay and using a toggle switch wired constant 12v. I don't know why the symptoms come and go. Just one thing after another to irritate me!!!

hey i had the same problem with mine, i was stuck on the tech spec at the track, because my fuel pump was giving me trouble like this. i also had to play with it til it turned on, took me an hour!! i checked the fuel pump and all the wiring and i could not find anything wrong with it, its probable a relay, but ever sine i got it back on, i have not had the problem anymore, but its not like i fixed anything....damn thing just acts up.

I had this problem. I'd try to start my car and didn't hear that annoying buzz. The stupid thing wouldn't prime. Took it to Mtsu and they replaced my relays and haven't had a problem since. Every once in a while on hot days the car takes a bit longer to start but it will at least turn on. That might be a different problem entirely though.
