i'm pretty sure that our oxygen sensor outputs anywhere from 0 and 1 volt. i've seen mine go down as far as maybe .010 volts while downshifting, and as high as 1.020 volts while running insanely rich.

Yea, anything over .96 v is considered very rich on our cars.

Why do you need to know? I can't answer that offhand, but i'd like to hear the end goal of the discussion so i can tell you whether you're wasting your time or not.

i think it either has something to do with the problem he is having with his car, or maybe he is oging to make his own? or somethign to do with wideband tuning maybe?

I've have seen 1.xx amount of volts, but never have seen 1.1 or higher. If you are running higher boost, for the proper fuel, you should be seeing anywhere from .97-1.0 volts on the stock o2 sensor. Of course, use a dyno and wideband and shoot for an 11.5:1 A/f ratio, which is close to the voltages above. Yeah, its rich, but its how it should be tuned with higher boost.

What bearing does stock O2 sensor output and ohm rating have on wideband tuning? They're two completely different types of oxygen sensor. if you're going to build a wideband setup with datalogging capabilities, what the stock o2 sensor does and reads shouldn't matter a lick.

trust me.. it makes sense when you try and buy a wideband sensor that can handle narrow band at the same time.

That does make sense.

But, if it were me, i'd just add another bung in the DP, leave the stock o2 alone (mine doesn't do me any good anyway) and add the wideband on top of that. For a car that still uses the factory ECU for fuel control, i'd just as soon run two sensors and keep the mechanism i am building that much simpler. For me, since my DFI does all my fueling, it is not so important, as the factory O2 sensor sits and does a lot of nothing.

A while ago I read a write up that someone did on how to tune your SAFC using a EGT gauge and a A/F gauge that read voltage. He said to tune until you voltage was 92v. Maybe thats why he needs it.

nothing "puts out" "ohms". if input impedance is what you're looking for, i dunno, go get a technical data sheet or something.
