#57759, "turbo problem"

ok im still deciding between turbo and nitrous and im kind of leanin toward turbo because i want the power there all the time, not just when i have the nitrous armed. anyway, i was thinking of either the hahn stage 2 or 3 kit. my question is, i know a lot of people get rid of stuff from their hahn kit and upgrade it so i was just wondering what stuff i need to get rid of? i know i need a missing link and i think i remember someone saying they changed something with the fuel system that comes with the kit. also, what other accessories would i need besides a greddy tt, apex-i safc, avcr and 3" n1? finally, should i save up till i have the money for a stage 3 or should i get a stage 2 and then upgrade the internals after that with top of the line stuff? sorry for the newb questions, im just looking for help and insight from the people who know what they are talking about. oh yea, i did search a few pages to find an answer to this but came up empty. thanks for any hel emoji

save up for the stage 3 emoji You don't need an afc unless you go past 440cc injectors.. change out the cartech fmu with a vortech sfmu.. don't bother with an N1 exhaust.. its only 2.5" for our car.. just go to a muffler shop and have them make you 3" from the turbo back. get the missing link if you want, i run the hahn fcd right now without problems.

anything else?
James

youll find a good price for the sfmu on ebay.. got mine there for 120 bux shipped.

youll need to get the rebuild kit for it so you can have all the discs and rings and the dark spring

you can just get an n1 for a gst.. but.. in my opinion.. its not worth the money.. what is it.. like $500 bux? screw that.. a muffler shop will put on an exhaust for like 300 bux at most.

the hahn kit will come with everything else you need for the fuel system.

James

im talking about the sfmu. the rebuild kit includes all the discs and rings for tunig your car along with the dark spring which is harder.. you use the dark spring for tuning your fuel idle pressure very low.. (hence when using the 440cc injectors)

How low do you guys with 440s run your IDLE (not static) FP?

I found my car would not idle correctly below 20psi (achieved on the silver spring). I could have adjusted it down to 16psi or so, but I assumed it was a poor injector spray pattern at that pressure (using new Ford Lightning 440's/42lbs).

Does using the dark spring fix the stumbling idle at <20psi fp?
