hey i started noticing at higher boost my boost gauge will start dropping off am i seeing some heat soak from this lil intercooler? how much boost can it handle before it reaches its peak?

If your boost is dropping off, then suspect a boost leak somewhere. Also, try using manifold boost source for your boost controller, instead of the fitting on the turbo comprssor. This way, if you have any small leaks, you will have an accurate signal source going to your boost controller. Our throttle body throttle plate shafts like to leak a bit, and also things like the EVAP system, and EGR solenoids can leak very small amounts, which can casue it too. I had the same problem, but fixed it by running the signal line to my boost controller from the intake mani instead of the turbo. You def want to be sure you dont have any IC piping leaks first though. The 1G SMIC is good for 10-12 psi in hot weather.

im pretty sure it aint boost leak and right now i have my wastegate actuator teed off the brake boost controller errrr well right now i have my smic with like a lil mount on it that i throw ice on before i run at the tracks errrrr damn this thing i think its time for a fmic

well how much boost are you running??? Anything more than what i stated above is not a very good idea...once the IC gets heat soaked, then its like not even running an IC...

i was running 17 with my old intercooler i just taught i could be cheap since my other ic got crushed and lost some flow


errrrr i guess its time for me to stop being cheap
