Im planning on plunkin down the money for a turbo in the springtime...and rebuilding mai engine...would it be ok to rebuild my engine during the winter with the lowerd compression how much would that affect my driving since Im not going to be boosted yet?? or should I just wait till I have the turbo kit??

You can rebuild the engine before the turbo if you wish. That will give you time to complete the engine break-in period before putting on the turbo too. The lower compression will make your car a little slower, but once you go turbo, it'll be all worth it! emoji

I heard there's not a huge difference. You'll be a bit slower. Kind of reminds me of having my 3" exhaust on before the turbo emoji. It was so pathetically slow.

if you drove a NA Eclipse with 8.8 compression, then drove a NA eclipse with stock compression, you would be VERY hard pressed to be able to feel the power difference. its a 5hp loss at max. most notabl when getting on the gas after shifts, but definitely nothing to be worried about.
