#56308, "Please help... Apexi TT problem"

Ok, So I have an Apexi TT with an Apexi harness. The harness and TT are hooked up fine, and I have it grounded well, and the ebrake switch is hooked up. When I turn ON my car, it starts timing!! wtf? If I put the Ebrake down, it stops. After driving, and I turn off the car, nothing, even with the Ebrake up. When the car's on and running, the TT is not powered up. If I stop the car, turn it off, then start it again, and turn it back off while the timer is going down, it will time down the car.

Is my TT fucked up? Or what else could it be?

I know I've wired it correctly as far as ebrake and ground. The O2 isn't hooked up. Anyone have a problem like this, or could suggest any solutions?

I have this TT I used a greddy harness though. Is the harness for the 2g turbo car? I can't really understand exactly what you mean here but I will take a crack at it. First of all the apexi TT does have a warm up timer function as well, so that may be why it is doing the count down at start up. Have you set the times in the auto timer function. It sounds to me like it's a wireing problem because the unit is supposed to be powered up all the time. That's how you use it for O2 and A/F functions.

I bet your hvac dosent work. Have you tried it since you installed the harness? If its not working you have the same problem I had. The harness is wired wrong. Your going to need to trace the wires and fix the harness. I think you basically just switch 2 wires around, I cant remember exactly now. I installed mine about a year ago. It did exactly what your saying.

It seems like your wiring is not correct. Kirby is correct in that the Apexi TT does have a warming time countdown when the car is started so that part is cool. The unit should also be powered on at all times. While the car is idling, the unit will shut the car off immediately once it detects that the e-brake is not engaged (if you hook-up the e-brake option). Therefore, check your wiring especially the harness (are you sure you have the 2G harness?) as it seems it is connected correctly. For reference, I have the Apexi TT with the GReddy harness.

Ill bet you money its ^^^ what i had posted. I think you got a 4g63 harness or something. Its as simple as switching 2 wires, i just cant remember which ones. If your hvac dosent work thats your problem for sure.

Etx wins. I tried using the greddy harness and now it works perfectly. The Harness I have is wrong. All is good now emoji

when you start it up yes, it counts down for whatever time. mine goes for 30 seconds. reason is, say you only drive 10 feet....theres no reason the car should stay on for the preset time. sit in it, turn it on....watch it count down, and when its done it'll sit there until you turn it off, then it will count down and turn off when its done
