They serve their purpose as a basic bov that can hold boost but not very flashy.

What do they sound like? The shop said my engine should be done by saturday if all the parts come in. Then i will get to hear is for my self. Anyone with an aftermarket BOV, Did you have to weld a flange on the pipe? Where did you get it from?

all you have to do is do a search for blow off valve flange...
i know you can get one to fit a greddy off overboost.com
you just have to specify what metal- steel or aluminum...

I have it with my HRC system. I wouldn't mind having a shinier and fancy one, but I'm also a bit hesitant to get another. why?

Well, my BOV HAS served me well. I never see a boost drop-off. It holds boost nicely between shifts. Lastly, I really like the noise it makes. I would feel retarded trying to scheme a set of letters together to try and imitate the noise it makes, but I would best characterize it just like from what you'd hear when a submarine door opens or Darth Vader exhales...heh

So, you can imagine all the crazy sounds a 420a turbo eminates....

1000-2000 rpms...usual intake/engine noise
2000+ rpms...spool up noise....like a snake hissing through a pinweel or fan...(pretty damn sweet)
At shifts...BOV- see decompression sound

Remember, we don't have all those stock sound inhibitors that most turbo cars have to muffle those AWESOME noises.

I still have my factory stealth turbo bov (3kgt vr4). I am not sure if it is still good (been outside in a box). I guess I could sell it to you if you want.

bring it on.............
